Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP) – Remote (Colombia / Costa Rica) Senior DevOps Engineer who will work with a team of developers and engineers building infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage DevOps processes and tools on Google Cloud Platform. Set up and configure GCP services for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation. Manage source code repositories using Git, and implement branching and merging strategies. Ensure code versioning best practices are followed. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GCP tools such as Cloud Build. Implement and optimize deployment strategies for applications on GCP. Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration. Implement containerization using Docker. Orchestrate containers using Kubernetes on GCP. Set up monitoring and logging solutions using GCP Stackdriver or similar tools. Monitor and troubleshoot issues proactively. Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure a seamless integration and delivery process. Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders. Implement and enforce security best practices in the DevOps pipeline. Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations. Technical Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5 Years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Google Cloud Platform. Strong proficiency in GCP services and tools. Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab CI. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation. Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with networking, security, and cloud best practices. Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Bonus Skills Cloud certifications and/or cloud‑native infrastructure experience. Experience building and managing applications with package/project managers like Maven/Gradle, Pip, NPM, Yarn. Experience with technologies like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or CircleCI. Experience with networking, storage and release management. Linux Foundation certificates, HashiCorp certifications.
