Note: If you’re hired for this role, you may be asked to update your LinkedIn profile :) About The Role The Senior Controller – Advisory Execution & Optimization is a senior, client-facing leader responsible for executing, enforcing, and optimizing accrual-based accounting workflows across a portfolio of complex clients. This role ensures automation workflows are adopted in practice and acts as the bridge between accounting execution, automation design, and CFO strategy. Responsibilities Own the accuracy and integrity of accrual-based financials across multiple clients. Review and approve monthly closes, balance sheets, accruals, and reconciliations. Implement and enforce standardized and automated accounting workflows. Identify systemic issues and drive continuous process improvement. Lead and mentor accounting team members, ensuring quality and accountability. Serve as the primary accounting contact for clients and lead monthly financial reviews. Collaborate with Tax, FP&A, and Automation teams to ensure smooth downstream delivery. Key Requirements 8–12+ years of accrual-based accounting and controllership experience. Proven experience managing multiple complex clients or entities. Strong technical accounting knowledge (revenue recognition, accruals, close). Experience enforcing SOPs and standardized workflows. Strong leadership and client-facing communication skills. High fluency in modern accounting systems and workflows. Excellent English proficiency. Nice to Have Experience in outsourced accounting, CAS, or fractional CFO environments. Insurance industry experience. Exposure to automated or AI-assisted accounting workflows. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification. Schedule Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM EST Compensation Contractor model - USD salary.
