Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced and motivated Enterprise Solutions Architects to partner with some of the world's largest Enterprise, Telecom, and Media customers. In this highly technical and customer-facing role, you will engage directly with customers to understand their business drivers, assess technology needs, and design reliable, cost-effective, and scalable cloud architectures on AWS.
As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud solutions and provide strategic guidance on migrating existing workloads to the cloud. You will build deep relationships with senior technical leaders to enable them as cloud advocates within their companies. A core responsibility is educating customers on the value proposition of AWS through training sessions, deep architectural discussions, and cloud acceleration programs.
You will drive revenue growth by formulating and executing sales strategies in partnership with the AWS Sales team. This involves mobilizing internal AWS resources and the partner ecosystem to ensure successful application/service builds and migrations onto AWS. Additionally, you will capture and share best practice knowledge across AWS, including authoring customer-facing content like whitepapers and blog posts.
The ideal candidate has a passion for cloud computing with a proven track record in technology consulting, solutions architecture, or pre-sales engineering. You must be broadly competent across infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, app development, analytics, and deep expertise in at least two areas. The ability to connect technology to measurable business value is critical. Strong interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with all customer stakeholders from developers to CXOs.

- Expertise in designing and architecting large-scale, distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services or equivalent public cloud platforms.
- Fluently communicate with customers at C-level, stakeholders, boardrooms and peers, evolving to the “trusted advisor”.
- Build deep relationships to become a customers' trusted advisor for their critical workloads in support of their digital transformation/journey to the cloud.
- Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure they design solutions for resiliency, security, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate across the AWS teams to drive and shape new solutions and mechanisms for repeatable customer business outcomes.
- Represent and promote AWS within the Telecommunications, Enterprise, and Service Provider communities.
- Assist Partners in designing and implementing large-scale network transformations programs and solutions.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge for deploying, running and managing solutions on AWS.
- Contribute to AWS internal and customer-facing materials such as workshops and blogs as a means of scaling your knowledge.
- Influence cloud services roadmap, by acting as a liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support to address customer needs.
- Have 8 years or more of experience in any other following or related to Technology Architect, Consultant, Cloud Architect, Technical Lead, Software Developers, Engineering Lead, Sales Engineer, Pre Sales Engineer or Systems Engineers, etc.
- Have experience and/or deeper understanding in one or more technology areas. Specific knowledge in multiple technology domain areas (e.g., software development, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Can create proof of concepts, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or leveraging reusable components.
- Understands and can articulate common architectural patterns and design principles.
- Can take the lead on a complex technical project, which may require the participation of other teams to deliver.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Able to create technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others.
- Experience in architecting, migrating or transforming customer requirements to the cloud.
- Professional experience in architecting or operating solutions built on AWS.
- One or more AWS certifications, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
- Demonstrated thought leadership through public speaking and/or publications.
- Accommodate occasional travel.
