What to expect in this role We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support our commercial lending technology modernization initiatives. This role demands comprehensive knowledge of commercial and B2B lending processes, loan origination and servicing systems, credit risk assessment practices, and regulatory compliance requirements. Familiarity with various commercial lending structures such as term loans, revolving credit facilities, syndicated loans, asset-based lending, commercial real estate financing, international commercial lending practices, document generation systems, and eSignature solutions will be considered advantageous. Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth analysis of commercial and B2B lending processes including loan origination, underwriting, approval workflows, servicing, and monitoring. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed business and functional requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory guidelines. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to document comprehensive current-state processes and define optimized future-state workflows. Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed documentation for technology teams. Analyze specific lending scenarios such as structured finance, syndicated loans, secured and unsecured commercial lending, and international trade financing. Support implementation and integration efforts of lending platforms, document generation tools, and eSignature systems. Work closely with development, QA, and project management teams to ensure accurate execution and timely delivery of requirements. Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts, training, and end-user support for lending solutions. Provide subject matter expertise and advisory services regarding best practices, market trends, and regulatory compliance in commercial and B2B lending. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in commercial lending, B2B finance, or financial services. Extensive knowledge of commercial lending products including term loans, lines of credit, revolving credit, syndicated lending, and asset-based financing. Experience in international lending practices and cross-border financing arrangements is highly beneficial. Familiarity with document generation platforms (e.g., HotDocs, Conga) and eSignature solutions (DocuSign, Adobe Sign). Skills and Competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of dissecting complex lending scenarios and proposing effective solutions. Strong proficiency in creating detailed business requirements, workflow diagrams, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively engage diverse internal and external stakeholders. Deep understanding of lending compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks. Experienced with Agile methodologies and proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Azure DevOps). Ability to rapidly adapt to evolving requirements and shifting project priorities.
