A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Accounting to lead our accounting team at our manufacturing plant with around 300 employees. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning for the organization.

Imagine starting your day with a team meeting, reviewing the latest financial reports, and setting the agenda for the week. You might spend the morning analyzing cost control measures, followed by a meeting with department heads to discuss budget planning and financial forecasts. In the afternoon, you ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements, before ending your day with a strategic review session with senior management to align financial objectives with business goals.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Oversee all aspects of the accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and audit requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
  • Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit processes.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring the financial stability of the company.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
  • Supporting carve out activities, including the separation of financial records, systems and processes to ensure a smooth transition and integration into the new organizational structure.
What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP (FI/CO) MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI).
