This role contributes to the CCAU Technology team by delivering technical solutions that align with business strategies and comply with governing regulations and internal policies. Responsibilities Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Participate in the full development life cycle of business solution design and implementation by analyzing and clearly defining user requirements, assisting in test case development and testing, defining user procedures and workflows, and contributing to conversion and implementation strategies and post-implementation support. Provide production and user acceptance testing support to assigned applications by identifying, evaluating, escalating, resolving problems and supporting other team members. Provide business support to application users, including ad hoc queries and user training. Track work assignments, status and reporting as needed. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Contribute to effective and efficient operations in alignment with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct and Global Sales Principles, ensuring day-to-day controls for operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. May require extended hours to meet customer needs or production deployments. Promote a high performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment. Independently resolve multi-faceted problems to meet technical needs of the assigned applications, including rapid prototyping and iterative requirements-definition to produce interim deliverables. Participate in system implementations by defining technical requirements, documenting ETL processes and workflows, providing user documentation, testing strategies/cases, user training, and post-implementation support. Education/Experience Must be Fully bilingual at least B1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (computer science, computer engineering or related field) required. 1-3 years of experience in SQL required. Minimum of 1 year experience with Microsoft SSIS. Strong experience with structured and unstructured datasets, and skills in data ingestion/extraction and orchestration. Working knowledge of programming languages (JavaScript, Java, .NET, Python, Perl, PHP, Bash, XML, HTML, C/C++/C#, RegEx, etc.). Experience working in an agile development environment (Confluence, Jira, CI/CD pipeline, Scrum/Kanban). Nice to have: Knowledge of Big Data solutions, Hadoop, EDL, DWH, Data Visualization.
