Impact Analyst, Accion Advisory Accion is a global nonprofit on a mission to create a fair and inclusive economy for the nearly two billion people who are impacted by the global financial system. About Accion Advisory The Accion Advisory team combines decades of on‑ground experience with insights into new technologies to help our partners become more sustainable and scalable. We work with a variety of organizations focused on serving the financial needs of low‑income people and businesses in emerging markets, with a presence in Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Responsibilities Project Assignments Participate in project assignments designed to identify and define issues, review and analyze evidence, and document business processes. Prepare working papers to support results of engagements. Contribute to the development of project plans, including fieldwork task schedules, workshop and interview preparation, gathering documentation, and liaising with client staff. Conduct market scans and analyze key trends to identify market opportunities or risks. Provide support for coordination and communication of project results via written reports and oral presentations to management. Draft reports and present them to senior advisors for review. Other related projects and learning opportunities as assigned. Proposals & Business Development Learn about and support end‑to‑end the proposal development and submission process. Engage in networking events related to advisory service offerings. Internal Business Practices Support internal innovation through active engagement in identifying and recommending innovative solutions to improve internal work processes. Other work duties as assigned. Qualifications Passion for the social sector and keenness toward technology‑enabled business models. Experience of 3+ years in a reputed consulting organization, fintech, or financial services provider. Bachelor’s degree in business, financial services, social impact, or related field. MBA or related qualification (completed or in progress) is highly preferred. Ability to conduct financial statement analysis, unit economics analysis, and/or cash flow analysis. Experience developing a business case from a financial perspective; forecasting expertise is a plus. Innovative mindset and fresh perspective to design and develop new and existing business models to support clients in achieving breakthrough results. Ability to study and quickly understand business processes, team dynamics, and customer needs. Ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical tools to develop solutions. Curious mindset & demonstrated initiative to learn developments in fintech and financial inclusion domain; entrepreneurial spirit. Excellent people skills; preference for experience with multi‑cultural environments. Proven multi‑tasking skills with a positive, can‑do attitude. Team player who enjoys working in a semi/unstructured environment. Proven project management skills. Fluency in financial modelling tools such as Excel. Ability to create visually appealing presentations. Willingness to travel (30‑40%). Interested in our mission and working globally.
