Job Title Senior Software Engineer – Payments Tribe How You’ll Make an Impact As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build, and ship scalable payment services that keep money moving securely for thousands of customers. Your work will directly influence the customer experience for both hotel guests and property owners. Our Payments Team We solve complex, interconnected problems, integrating with global partner APIs while ensuring compliance, security, and high availability. Working in this tribe means collaborating with a supportive, collaborative group that is the financial backbone of the hospitality industry. What You Bring to the Team Ownership mindset, technical excellence, and a passion for clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code. Strong collaboration, security awareness, and a strategic view on architecture and scalability are essential. What Sets You Up for Success 5+ years of PHP web application software engineering experience. 2+ years with MySQL or PostgreSQL (tuning and optimization preferred). 1+ year designing and developing event‑driven microservices in PHP or Java. Experience with modern infrastructure tooling (DataDog, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD). Strong business sense and collaboration with leadership and non‑technical stakeholders. Commitment to observability, data‑driven decision making, and automated testing. Knowledge of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and design for scalability. Bonus Skills to Stand Out (Optional) Secure software engineering in regulated environments, PCI‑DSS familiarity. Large‑scale domain‑driven design experience.
