Dispatcher I

The Dispatcher I is responsible for overseeing and documenting the pickup and delivery of local shipments, as well as coordinating and communicating shipment information between drivers and delivery agents. Responsibilities Responsible for routing local freight, dispatching drivers, performing dock checks, tracking shipments, working with dock staff members to ensure movement of freight. Timely event data entry of shipment milestones into tracking systems – pickup, delivery, obtain proof of delivery. Provide customer service to identify and meet specific customer needs. Answer/make customer inquiry calls and address customer concerns/complaints. Assign driver load planning based on local mapping & appointments accordingly. Identifying and coordinating the prioritization of rushed/urgent/last minute shipments. Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary. Qualifications 1+ years of experience in dispatching, logistics coordination or transportation management industry. Familiarity with final mile delivery operations and routing software (e.g., DispatchTrack, Onfleet, Roadnet). Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills with abilities to develop new ideas and innovative solutions. High attention to details and organization.
