We are always looking for exceptional talent to join us on the journey Your Mission We are looking for a Senior eCommerce Underwriter, to join our fast-growing Underwriting team. Reporting to our Director, eCommerce Underwriting you will be supporting the team on reviewing and analyzing merchant application referrals from Nuvei’s eComm, Base Direct, and US/CAN Partners sales channels to qualify their creditworthiness. They will follow all Nuvei credit policies and guidelines to mitigate overall financial and reputational risk exposures. The Senior eCommerce Underwriter will be actively engaged with the Loss Prevention and Sales teams to identify risk and market trends. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed credit & risk analysis of applying merchant accounts to determine creditworthiness, as well as identifying potential risks. Demonstrate strong methodical skills in analyzing data, drawing meaningful conclusions, preparing written summary of results in accordance with department procedures, and making holistic business recommendations. Maintain communication and collaboration with partners, merchants, and other teams. Process applications efficiently and with analytical thinking to reduce and streamline the workload of the underwriting department within a reasonable time frame. Answer internal and external inquiries about Underwriting issues. Provide internal concurrence and mentorship to non-senior underwriters on accounts up to $700,000 in MV and/or exposure. Approve fund releases up to $15,000, as needed Qualifications 5 years’ experience in underwriting in the bankcard industry required Proficiency in English (written and spoken) Strong knowledge of enhanced due diligence requirements for strategic verticals like online pharmacies, money remittance providers, online marketplaces, airlines, cruise lines, OTAs, online gaming/gambling, and cryptocurrency. Strong knowledge of card scheme rules, regulations, and registration requirements Experience with drafting high-level write-ups to submit to C-level executives and sponsor banks for concurrence with minimal oversight Ability to read and interpret financial statements Ability to calculate financial risk and delayed delivery exposure Ability to analyze high-volume accounts while accurately assessing credit, regulatory, and reputation risk Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point Excellent time management skills and autonomous work ethic Strong research & analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Please upload your CV in English Nuvei offers a wide variety of benefits, which include: Medical insurance Paid Vacation Time, Paid Sick Time.
