What we offer you in Colombia Indefinite contract with Intellias Colombia SAS, payment in COP Health, life, funerary and pet insurance for the employee Workation up to 90 day outside Colombia Training and certifications 100% work from home + internet subsidy 100% English environment Required Experience & Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience with Azure SQL Data Warehouse / Synapse dedicated SQL pools or similar MPP data warehouses. Strong proficiency in T‑SQL , including complex queries, DDL/DML, and performance tuning. Solid background in data warehousing concepts (facts/dimensions, slowly changing dimensions, star and snowflake schemas). Hands‑on ETL/ELT experience with Azure Data Factory / Synapse pipelines or equivalent tools. Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (Warehouse, Lakehouse, OneLake, Data Factory, workspaces). Demonstrated success in data platform migrations (on‑premises or cloud to modern DW/Lakehouse). Experience mentoring or leading engineers, defining standards, and reviewing designs. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical options and trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Production experience with Microsoft Fabric (shortcuts, notebooks, Delta‑based Lakehouse workloads). Advanced Power BI skills (models on Fabric Warehouse/Lakehouse, Direct Lake). Experience with DevOps/CI‑CD for data platforms (Git integration, automated deployments). Familiarity with Microsoft Purview or other catalog/lineage tools. Relevant Microsoft certifications (Azure Data Engineer, Solutions Architect, Power BI, Fabric when available). Key Responsibilities Lead the assessment of the current SQL DW/Synapse environment, including dependencies and risks. Define the target Fabric architecture (Warehouse vs. Lakehouse, OneLake layout, environments). Develop a migration playbook with standards, templates, and reusable patterns for schema, data, and pipelines. Provide hands‑on support in complex areas such as T‑SQL refactoring , schema migration , and incremental loads. Re‑platform or design Data Factory / pipeline solutions within Fabric. Establish data validation and performance patterns (row counts, checksums, query parity). Define and promote security and governance practices (RBAC, RLS/CLS, sensitivity labels, dev/test/prod environments). Coach, mentor, and conduct code/pipeline reviews to elevate the team’s Fabric expertise. Communicate status updates, risks, and technical decisions effectively to engineering and business stakeholders.
