A Creative Technologist is a cross‑disciplinary person that bridges between a design vision and engineering execution, using experimentation to solve problems in new and novel ways. They combine technical expertise with human‑centered design to prototype and implement innovative solutions. Creative technologists blend expertise in code, hardware, and emerging technologies to bring ideas to life. As a Creative Technologist at Kyndryl Vital Colombia you will take ownership of design workstreams—leading the development of design documentation, system flows, and interactive prototypes that address customer needs. You’ll work directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams to define design requirements and technical approaches, translating vision into user‑centric solutions that align with business goals. You’ll be hands‑on in building high‑fidelity web or mobile prototypes using frameworks like React, Vue, or Flutter, and may integrate cloud functions, sensors, or AI services to explore emerging possibilities. You’ll mentor junior team members, provide feedback on prototypes or code, and elevate the team’s technical and creative capabilities. You’ll lead design and prototype review sessions, confidently advocating for experience quality while balancing stakeholder input and implementation feasibility. You’ll work closely with engineering and product leads to embed design thinking into delivery frameworks—ensuring insights from prototyping inform product roadmaps. Required Technical and Professional Expertise Human‑Centered Design : You have a deep understanding of human‑centered design methods and mindset Cross‑disciplinary Collaboration : You excel at uniting design and engineering Innovation : You can apply new applications for emerging tech Rapid Prototyping : You can create context‑appropriate, low‑to‑high fidelity prototypes Feasibility Analysis : You can assess design’s technical feasibility Storytelling : You can communicate clearly and compellingly AI and Data Ethics : You leverage AI tools while maintaining quality and ethical standards Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise 6–7 years of experience in creative technology, innovation lab, or related roles. You have a track record of projects where you took ideas from concept to prototype to implementation in some form. Significant experience in an industry or tech domain that enables you to be a subject matter expert (for example, IoT products, AR/VR experiences, fintech applications, etc.). A mix of enterprise and agency experience, demonstrating you can handle corporate‑scale projects with structure as well as more agile, creative projects. Solid understanding of IT systems, cloud services, or enterprise software integration – you know how to consider existing systems in your prototypes or how to prototype in a way that aligns with larger IT architectures. Experience incorporating insights from human behavior research or change management into technology solutions, showing that you understand the human factors in technology adoption. Demonstrated experience or strong interest in data science/AI – perhaps you have worked on a project involving machine learning, or you are comfortable working with data‑driven personalization or analytics in a product. This allows you to lead discussions on how AI/ML can be woven into design solutions. You may specialize more deeply in AI/ML/GenAI Phygital Design IoT Mobile and Web Required Education Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (or equivalent demonstrable portfolio of work). Preferred Education Advanced degree or certification in design, HCI, computer science, or related (e.g., MDM, MDes, MFA, d.MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
