Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Join to apply for the Lead Machine Learning Engineer role at EPAM Systems We are looking for a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to be part of our remote team, focusing on the design, development, and management of ML pipelines in accordance with industry best practices. In this position, you will take charge of designing, building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and refining steps in ML pipelines. You will also play a key role in the development and implementation of ML prediction endpoints. Additionally, you will work with System Engineers to set up environments for ML lifecycle management and enhance coding standards. If you are driven by innovation, we encourage you to apply and become a member of our team Responsibilities Contribution to the design, development, and management of ML pipeline lifecycle Design, creation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and refinement of ML pipeline steps Leadership and contribution to the design and implementation of ML prediction endpoints Partnering with System Engineers to set up ML lifecycle management environments Authoring specifications, documentation, and user guides for applications Assistance in enhancing coding practices and organizing repositories Setup and configuration of pipelines for various projects Proactive identification of technical risks and gaps, with strategies for mitigation Collaboration with data scientists to operationalize predictive models and develop scalable data preparation pipelines Requirements 5+ years of Python programming experience with strong SQL skills 1+ year of relevant leadership experience Intermediate expertise in Data Science, Data Engineering, and DevOps Engineering Proven track record of deploying at least one project in an MLE capacity Familiarity with the Apache Spark Ecosystem Skilled in automated data pipeline and workflow management tools Familiarity with various data processing paradigms (batch, micro-batch, streaming) Hands-on experience with at least one major Cloud Provider Experience in integrating ML models into complex data-driven systems Nice to have Hands-on experience with Databricks MLOps-related tools Familiarity with performance testing tools Understanding of containerization technologies We offer Learning Culture - We want you to be the best version of yourself, that is why we offer unlimited access to learning platforms, a wide range of internal courses, and all the knowledge you need to grow professionally Health Coverage - Health and wellness are important, that is why we have you and up to four family members in a premiere health plan.
