Treasury analyst (Accountant) PayU Bogota, D.C., Capital District, Colombia About the Role As a Treasury analyst (Accountant) you will support treasury management by conducting payment analysis, optimizing processes, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining updated accounting information in the ERP for all bank transactions. You will play a key role in payment processes and treasury operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, assisting with payment‑related inquiries, resolving issues with inbound transfers, and supporting the accounting team during month‑end closings. What You Will Do Support treasury management activities by conducting thorough payment analysis and identifying opportunities for streamlining and optimizing payment processes. Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations, ensuring that all bank accounts are aligned with the company’s financial records. Maintain and update accounting information within the ERP system to reflect all bank transactions accurately. Process payments efficiently and ensure timely execution of all transactions in accordance with company policies. Respond to payment‑related inquiries (e.g., confirming payment status, generating and sending proof of payment, supporting accounting end‑of‑month inquiries). Identify and recommend improvements in treasury operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and support the company’s overall financial strategy. Collaborate with accounting and finance departments to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date records. Oversee bank account administration, including management of bank mandates, signatories, and KYC processes. Ensure all treasury‑related activities comply with internal policies and regulatory standards. Work closely with the Treasury team to support daily tasks, focusing on process automation and increasing operational efficiency. Assist the Treasury Manager and team with ad‑hoc requests, ensuring timely completion of treasury operations and bank relations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a similar field. 1–2 years of experience in cash management or treasury. Good English communication skills (B1–B2). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Interest in technology and eagerness to automate repetitive tasks. Team player with strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
