About the Position We are looking for a Senior Python Backend Developer to join a leading company in the insurance and risk-management industry. In this role, you will design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services capable of handling large-scale data processing. You will work with FastAPI, AWS cloud services, and modern data-processing tools to develop robust systems that support critical business operations. As part of a collaborative and fast-paced engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of APIs, cloud-native solutions, and microservices architectures. Your expertise will be key in driving innovation and ensuring seamless integration with industry standards and best practices. Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI . Design and implement RESTful APIs and support microservices architectures. Build and optimize cloud-based solutions using AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, EC2, etc.). Process and manage large-scale data pipelines using Pandas , NumPy , and other relevant tools. Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of backend systems. Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and data engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Contribute to architecture discussions, best practices, and continuous improvements. Requirements 10+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Python . Hands-on experience with FastAPI and RESTful API design. Proficiency with AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, EC2). Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases . Experience with data-processing libraries such as Pandas and NumPy . Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in an agile environment . Nice To Have Experience with Docker , Kubernetes , and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with machine learning workflows or data-driven automation.
