Chief Operating Officer - Andean Subregion

Profile:

Aon is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to support Aon Business Services (ABS) in the Andean Subregion (Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Venezuela). This position will report to the COO for Latin America and the Andean Subregion Head. This role will be based in Aon's Bogotá, Colombia office.

What The Day Will Look Like:

  1. Manage Subregion operations by directing and coordinating activities and resources consistent with established goals.
  2. Provide leadership, management, and vision to ensure proper resources, controls, and systems are in place to grow the organization, excel in services, increase operating efficiency, and maintain financial strength.
  3. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sub-region ensuring accomplishment of defined KPIs, strategic initiatives, and local/corporate compliance.
  4. Develop, in collaboration with the Subregion Executive Committee and Regional ABS team, an annual operating plan supporting Aon’s long-term operations strategy.
  5. Provide strategic direction and management of operational activities aligned with overall strategic objectives set by Subregion/Region and Global teams.
  6. Convert strategic objectives into actionable plans for performance and growth.
  7. Assess and manage the principal risks of Aon’s business within operations.
  8. Collaborate with other SL/sub-SL leadership to deliver “the best of Aon.”
  9. Manage, lead, and coach the team to ensure continual improvement in capability, knowledge, development, and performance.
  10. Run the team’s performance management process as per company procedures and policy.
  11. Build inclusive and diverse teams, fostering a culture where all employees are valued and heard.
  12. Motivate and inspire others, creating an environment for continuous learning and connection.
  13. Ensure and maintain a satisfactory competitive position within the industry.

  1. 10 years of experience leading teams and delivering impactful solutions for internal and external clients.
  2. Advanced or Superior English Skills – speaking, reading, and writing for business.
  3. Expertise in operational excellence, transformation, project management, and client service.

  5. Success in prioritizing, strategizing, meeting deadlines, and following up on assignments, projects, and responsibilities.

  8. Proven ability to deliver product/solution innovations.
  9. Proven ability to identify and retain top talent.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Technology, a related field, or equivalent industry experience required.
