Head of Finance LATAM We are looking for a dynamic Head of Finance LATAM to establish and lead a regional finance support function from the ground up. The role reports to the Group CFO with a dotted‑line relationship to the CEO of Latin America and is fully office‑based in Medellín. Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership for finance activities across the region. Serve as a member of the Latin America Management Team and contribute to cross‑functional decision making. Oversee the regional finance function, leading a team of up to 10 professionals in financial reporting, payroll, tax and business control. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial close in line with global reporting schedules. Drive preparation and consolidation of financial statements and management reports for Latin American operations. Continuously refine finance workflows and internal controls to improve efficiency and alignment with global policies. Implement global finance initiatives at the regional level (e.g., cash pooling, inventory systems, ERP enhancements). Provide financial insights and strategic support to the CEO of Latin America and the regional leadership team. Manage periodic budget vs. actual analysis and communicate results to stakeholders. Act as a finance business partner, delivering actionable analysis to support operational and strategic objectives. Ensure all financial operations comply with corporate policies and accounting standards. Negotiate and discuss billing matters with clients. Qualifications Progressive finance experience, ideally in multinational or matrix organizations. Proven leadership experience managing finance teams of 10–15 staff. Strong technical foundation in finance principles and business performance metrics. Demonstrated ability to oversee FP&A, budgeting and forecasting processes. Experience with statutory reporting requirements, tax compliance and external audit work. Prior involvement in executive or senior leadership teams, contributing strategically across functions. Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables and data analysis. Practical knowledge of local GAAP, tax legislation, IFRS and transfer pricing. Effective communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Results‑oriented with a hands‑on leadership style and attention to detail. Entrepreneurial mindset and a positive attitude toward innovation and process improvement. Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision, SAP or Oracle is desirable. Ready to work on site in our office and to travel as necessary to support the Finance team and general business needs in the region.
