Our Client The client is a fintech company that helps homeowners make the most of their property’s value through Home Equity Investments (HEIs). This allows homeowners to access equity without taking on monthly debt, while investors gain exposure to residential real estate as an asset class. Job Summary If you can work fast, ship quality, and take pride in your work, this role will challenge and reward you. You will lead technical discussions, set engineering direction, and influence product decisions. You’ll collaborate across design, product, and engineering teams to deliver large‑scale software solutions. Responsibilities Provide technical and design leadership across high‑impact projects. Set strategic technical directions for your engineering team. Partner with designers and product managers to create an engaging and transparent customer experience. Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables as a highly hands‑on engineer. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large‑scale software solutions. Influence and mentor a distributed set of engineers. Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience. Experience building scaled web‑based applications with deep understanding of business goals. Exceptional technical design and communication skills. Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (Ruby on Rails/React). Strong foundations in UI development, product security, and/or DevOps. Ability to negotiate trade‑offs between product and engineering priorities. Excellent communication skills. Collaborative mindset with participation in a team environment. Prior startup experience is helpful. Formal degree in computer science helpful, but delivery of results is paramount. Benefits 100% Remote Work – work from any location with a laptop and internet.
