About the Position We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fullstack Engineer with expertise in Ruby on Rails and React to join one of our fast-paced client teams. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in designing and building scalable backend systems and rich user-facing applications. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of API architecture, database modeling, and frontend development, as well as a passion for clean, maintainable code and collaborative problem-solving. This position requires availability to work in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone. Responsibilities Design and implement robust, scalable APIs using Ruby on Rails and React Work with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) to manage and model data effectively Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, mobile, QA, and DevOps Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code focused on performance and reliability Monitor production systems and implement metrics to ensure operational stability Participate in agile ceremonies, architecture reviews, and code reviews Ensure seamless API interactions across clients (mobile, frontend frameworks, etc.) Take full ownership of features from conception to deployment Share knowledge and promote continuous learning within the team Requirements Proven experience in API design and development with Ruby on Rails Strong command of PostgreSQL or similar relational database technologies Solid understanding of software engineering best practices Experience implementing monitoring, metrics, and automated testing Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Mercurial Excellent communication and collaboration skills Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and mentor Availability to work in the EST time zone Nice To Have Experience in Agile environments with Continuous Delivery practices Knowledge of GraphQL API design Familiarity with Redis or ElasticSearch Exposure to Docker and AWS BS/MS in Computer Science or related field Previous experience in the automotive industry Why You'll Like Working Here Join a global team committed to Distillery's core values: Unyielding Commitment, Relentless Pursuit, Courageous Ambition, and Authentic Connection. 100% Remote Work: Enjoy the freedom to work from anywhere while collaborating with a diverse, multinational team.
