Concrete Estimator

We are looking for a highly experienced construction professional with a strong background in concrete structures, ground-up construction, and estimating to support a U.S.-based construction company. This position does not require a Civil Engineering degree . Candidates may come from technical, construction, estimating, or engineering-related backgrounds, as long as they have hands‑on experience with the responsibilities listed below. The role will begin as fully remote and transition into a hybrid position based in Medellín as the client’s local operation grows. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates for concrete and structural construction projects Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications Review and analyze plans, sections, and details related to structural concrete Use Tekla Structures to support structural modeling, coordination, and quantity extraction Utilize Bluebeam for digital takeoffs, measurements, and plan review Support ground‑up construction projects , including foundations, slabs, columns, and structural elements Collaborate directly with U.S.-based teams (estimators, project managers, engineers) Assist with bid preparation, scope reviews, and preconstruction activities Maintain organized estimating files and clear documentation Required Experience & Skills Proven experience in concrete construction and/or structural projects Strong background in estimating and quantity takeoffs Prefer Hands‑on experience using Tekla Structures Proficiency with Bluebeam or similar takeoff tools Experience with ground‑up / site construction projects Advanced English level (C1 or higher) – required for daily communication with U.S. teams Ability to work independently in a remote environment Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset Preferred (Nice to Have) Experience working with U.S. construction companies or projects Familiarity with U.S. construction drawings and terminology Background as an Estimator, Project Engineer, Construction Technician, or similar role Work Modality Phase 1: 100% Remote Why This Opportunity Long‑term role with a U.S.-based construction company Exposure to complex structural concrete projects Professional growth and stability Competitive compensation based on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
