About this Role The Global Green Growth Institute is seeking a highly qualified consultant to support the advancement of sustainable finance regulations in Colombia as part of the project funded by UK PACT. With significant strides made in the greening of Colombia’s financial sector, there remains a need for translating international standards into actionable national regulations. The consultant will play a crucial role in aligning Colombia’s financial regulatory frameworks with global best practices, enhancing regulatory coherence, and streamlining financial policies for climate‑related risk management. This position involves high‑level technical and regulatory support to the Unidad de Regulación Financiera (URF) focused on integrating climate‑related financial risks into Colombia’s prudential and market‑regulation frameworks. Responsibilities Provide technical and regulatory advice to the URF in integrating climate‑related financial risks. Conduct a comprehensive assessment of Colombia’s current regulatory framework regarding prudential standards. Develop regulatory and policy recommendations based on Basel III/IV and NGFS recommendations. Prepare evidence‑based documents to support country‑level policy discussions. Coordinate with multiple financial regulatory authorities and institutions to ensure regulatory coherence. Design differentiated approaches for banking, insurance, and capital market institutions. Requirements Master’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Finance, Economics, or related fields. At least 5 years of experience in financial regulation or sustainable finance. Demonstrated experience with Colombian financial regulatory authorities. Knowledge of Basel prudential frameworks and NGFS climate risk principles. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. Benefits Engage in meaningful work that impacts sustainable development.
