We are searching for a Director of Data Consulting to join our remote team. This high-level position gives you the opportunity to lead data transformation initiatives for international clients and set the course for advanced enterprise data solutions. You will work alongside diverse teams, foster innovative thinking, and help accelerate change in a fast-moving environment. Your expertise will play a key role in driving client success and supporting the company’s long-term vision. Responsibilities Guide the creation, execution, and delivery of enterprise data platforms and solutions that support strategic goals Design and build data architectures, including data lakes, analytics systems, and reporting tools, using leading cloud technologies and modern data processing frameworks Work in partnership with business leaders, Solution Architects, and technical teams to turn requirements into robust and scalable data solutions Advise clients on effective data management, governance, and operational models to develop reliable and high-performing data ecosystems Direct consulting projects and presales activities, showcasing advanced skills in data engineering, analytics, and data management Analyze existing data environments, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies to enhance data quality, accessibility, and governance Keep pace with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data management, AI/ML, and cloud, integrating new approaches into client solutions Support the development and rollout of accelerators, templates, and open-source tools to strengthen EPAM’s Data Service portfolio Advocate for best practices in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring excellence in code quality and CI/CD processes Explain complex technical concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, helping drive alignment and informed decisions Build and sustain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor in all aspects of data technology and strategy Requirements Minimum of 12 years in IT, with at least 8 years in roles such as Data Technology Consultant, Data Architect, or similar positions on enterprise data projects Experience in at least 10 major projects or in launching 3 or more products or significant product features to market Proven ability to lead teams of 70+ FTEs or smaller groups with high business impact Advanced knowledge of data platforms and cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP Skilled in data processing frameworks such as Databricks and MS Fabric for enterprise-scale solutions Strong programming background in SQL and Python for data engineering and analytics Experience with Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data quality tools to maintain high standards of data reliability Understanding of AI/ML technologies, including natural language processing and computer vision Solid grasp of SDLC, CI/CD, and practices that support quality-driven software development Comprehensive expertise in data architecture, lifecycle management, and enterprise data product design Direct experience delivering large-scale data solutions, including data lakes, analytics platforms, and reporting systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a history of developing and implementing innovative data solutions Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders to define and execute effective data strategies Demonstrated success in managing and delivering complex data projects with measurable business results Strong organizational skills, able to handle multiple projects and priorities at once Proficiency in English at C1 level, with strong written and verbal communication Consulting experience, including stakeholder management, client relationship building, and clear communication of technical topics Ability to keep up with industry trends, conduct market and competitor analysis, and apply insights to strategic planning Nice to have Professional certifications in data, cloud, or analytics fields We offer International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Employee financial programs Paid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunities EPAM Employee Groups Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn #J-18808-Ljbffr
