Store Driver

Job Title: Store Driver

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Store Driver to join our team at Advance Stores Company Inc (500). As a Store Driver, you will be responsible for delivering parts to our commercial customers and assisting with task and inventory processes in the store.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver parts to customers: Safely transport parts to our commercial customers in a timely manner.
2. Pick and stage parts: Select and prepare parts for customer orders.
3. Pick up returns and cores: Collect returned parts and cores from customers.
4. Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer: Deliver sales flyers to customers on a regular basis.
5. Daily collection of credit accounts: Collect credit accounts from customers on a daily basis.

Secondary Responsibilities:

1. Store cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
2. General stocking: Restock shelves and inventory, including truck stocking and back stock.

Requirements:

1. Basic driving and navigation ability: Possess a valid driver's license and be able to navigate through various routes.
2. Ability to use delivery board system: Familiarity with delivery board systems and ability to use them effectively.
3. Friendly communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
4. Ability to locate and stock parts: Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently and accurately.
5. Safety knowledge and skills: Possess knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
6. Operating inventory systems: Familiarity with inventory systems and ability to operate them effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

A valid driver's license and fleet safety certification are required.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this job include walking, standing, talking, hearing, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically inside, but may occasionally be outside and exposed to various weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
