Job DescriptionVP of Human Resources

The VP of Human Resources is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire human resources department and its functions. This position supports the aviation industry in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic leadership to the HR department, setting the overall HR vision and strategy in alignment with the company's goals.
  2. Closely partner with various stakeholders located at PrimeFlight headquarters in Texas and across the United States.
  3. Oversee all aspects of HR functions, including recruitment, talent management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR compliance.
  4. Collaborate with local senior management and business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support the company's growth and objectives.
  5. Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
  6. Drive talent acquisition efforts, ensuring the recruitment of top talent to meet the organization's staffing needs.
  7. Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that foster a positive workplace culture and compliance with Colombia Labor Laws.
  8. Establish and monitor key HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR strategies and make data-driven decisions.
  9. Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives to create a motivated and high-performing workforce.
  10. Oversee compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, incentives, and benefits packages.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of HR management experience, preferably in a similar industry or large organization. Specialization in HR is required, along with working knowledge of Ultipro / UKG software and in-depth knowledge of Colombia Labor Law.

The candidate should have proven leadership and strategic planning skills, strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities. Experience with HRIS and talent management systems is also necessary.

The successful candidate will have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, as well as work with a diverse team. Travel requirements, some International, are approximately 40%, with adjustments based on organizational needs.

Physical Activity/Working Conditions

The position requires ability to lift up to 25 pounds and sit for long periods of time. The candidate should have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
