Global Cooperation Specialist

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Global Cooperation Specialist to join our team in Astana, Kazakhstan.

**About the Role**

The International Labour Organization (ILO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations that promotes social and economic justice. As a Global Cooperation Specialist, you will play a key role in strengthening our partnerships with governments, employers' and workers' organizations, and other development partners.

You will be responsible for coordinating operational and administrative activities in countries where the ILO does not have a country office. This includes providing support to national counterparts in assigned technical areas, analyzing country-specific development plans and priorities, and identifying potential technical cooperation project areas.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Serve as primary point of contact for tripartite constituents in the country and maintain liaison and cooperation with UNDP and other UN agencies.
• Collect and analyze country-specific development plans and priorities, socioeconomic data, reports, and other relevant information as required by the DWT/CO.
• Participate in and contribute to the design, negotiation, implementation, planning, monitoring, and reporting of the DWCP.
• Hold regular coordination meetings with ILO project staff present in the country.

**Requirements**

• A first-level university degree in economics, social or humanitarian sciences.
• At least one or two years of professional experience at a country level in national development.
• An excellent command of English and Kazakh, with working knowledge of Russian an advantage.

**Salary**

The estimated salary for this position is 34,482 USD per year.
