Senior Mortgage Operations Manager

About the Role
This role contributes to the overall success of the Mortgage Servicing team by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. The successful candidate will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Championing a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Managing the quality and efficiency of unit operations and processing by completing management reviews, tracking results, and effectively resolving issues.
- Leading the day-to-day oversight of workloads, staffing, and unexpected issues to ensure stability of processing.
- Proactively managing workloads and staffing levels by planning, coordinating, assigning, and monitoring.
Reporting Relationships
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager Mortgage Operations and have dotted line to Sr Manager Mortgage Servicing - GBS RD. They will also be responsible for leading a team of 40-60 including an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Administration Officers, and Administration Clerks.
Dimensions
This role supports the Canadian Bank and the RBSC with activities ranging from preparing mortgage payout statements, processing mortgage or loan payments or payouts, completing property tax activities, actioning system-generated reports or notifications, and completing mortgage-related maintenance activities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate should have a college diploma/Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and/or a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience. Previous supervisory/management experience is required, as well as English language skills at the Advanced level.
