Job Title: Senior Demand Planner

As a key member of the Medtronic team, you will be responsible for leading the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle for your scope, working closely with Commercial and Marketing teams to ensure alignment and effective forecasting. This includes collaborating on forecast alignment working sessions, analyzing data, and loading/updating forecasts in the Blue Yonder system.

You will also work closely with the local Supply Planning team to ensure visibility of upstream product requirements, driving continuous improvement within the IBP process, and proactively managing alignment and communication flows.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at various levels. You will be responsible for developing and implementing focused supply chain strategies that support business growth and profitability objectives, including customer satisfaction and product cost management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Maintain Demand Forecasts: Analyze historic demand data and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Finance, to develop accurate and reliable demand forecasts for your product portfolio.
  2. Partner with Marketing on Demand Planning: Work closely with Marketing to develop demand plans for new product launches, product phase-in-phase-out, and product obsolescence, ensuring alignment and effective forecasting.
  3. Lead Tactical Demand Reviews: Lead Tactical Demand Reviews and support Consensus Demand Reviews as part of the monthly IBP process, ensuring accurate and reliable demand forecasts.
  4. Participate in Sales & Operations Execution: Actively participate in the weekly Sales & Operations Execution process, providing demand forecast highlights and ensuring smooth demand/supply hand-off.
  5. Analyze Forecast Accuracy: Analyze forecast accuracy, bias, and value add, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance forecasting capabilities.
  6. Maintain Demand Planning Data: Maintain the integrity of demand planning data, including demand history, product hierarchy, and other master data.
  7. Lead Process Improvement Projects: Lead or participate in process improvement projects aimed at improving forecast bias, accuracy, and ease of work.
Qualifications:

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in demand planning or advanced degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience generating demand forecasts.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Influencing and persuading skills.
  • Communication skills with various seniority levels.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Prioritization skills.
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP and Blue Yonder systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Power BI reporting.
  • Statistical modeling experience.
