Localization Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Localization Specialist to join our Engineering and Quotes department at TransPerfect. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the translation process, from quoting to quality assurance and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze various file formats for localization potential and assess time/material requirements for completion of projects.
• Prepare various file formats and technologies for translation using CAT tools and carry out Quality Assurance procedures on translated files.
• Maximize the use of technology in all steps of production and provide technical support for production team, sales, and other departments.
• Develop and implement procedures for maximizing productivity through technology solutions and interface with production team, sales, and other departments.

Requirements:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong understanding of different file types (HTML/XML/Json/YML) and Regex expressions.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English) and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent (Translators and IT-related degree preferred).
• Knowledge of CAT and localization engineering tools, Adobe Suite, and other DTP tools, with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player.
• Organized and motivated self-starter with a problem-solving attitude, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and flexibility with hours to accommodate project deadlines.
