Position Overview:
The Cloud Practice Engineer III plays a pivotal role in executing the organization's cloud strategy from a technical standpoint. This includes the design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of cloud architectures. The engineer collaborates with various stakeholders to assess cloud systems and propose suitable solutions, ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform incidental tasks related to the role as necessary.
- Develop well-structured, documented, and tested software features that align with customer needs.
- Identify and rectify product bugs, deficiencies, and performance issues.
- Engage with customer engineering teams on diverse projects.
- Write infrastructure as code using tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Implement automation and DevOps best practices for CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and containerization.
- Administer Linux and Windows systems, focusing on automated deployments and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Collaborate with colleagues and key stakeholders to deliver projects, including the implementation of cloud-based architectures, executing migrations, and optimizing applications to meet business objectives.
- Act as a technical advisor and troubleshoot to resolve technical challenges faced by customers.
Requirements:
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong foundational skills in DevOps and coding.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages, configuration management, and containerization.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Knowledge of artifact repository management tools.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline design.
- Proficient in Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Solid understanding of cloud technologies and automation.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Knowledge of identity access management and security protocols.
- Familiarity with networking and compute resources.
- Experience with data storage solutions and database management.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and message queue systems.
Desired Qualifications:
- AWS, GCP, Azure, or CNCF certifications.
