The Role: Asset Management Associate

We seek an experienced Asset Management Associate to join our client's team, focusing on monitoring property cash flows, forecasting operating results, and preparing financial updates for investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and analyze property cash flows, including forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Develop detailed cash flow projections for existing properties.
  • Monitor property operating results against forecasted cash flow and provide regular updates.
  • Prepare financial performance reports for management and investors.
  • Report to investors on property performance and provide financial updates.
  • Create presentations and materials for investor meetings.
  • Coordinate the annual budget, including projections.
  • Collaborate with property managers and owners to gather data and insights for budgeting.
  • Maintain and update budget templates, covering market leasing assumptions, operating expenses, and capital budgets.
  • Compare current budgets to historical periods and prepare presentation materials for management review.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and market data.
  • Prepare market research reports and analysis for management and investors.
  • Support decision-making with research and analysis as needed.
  • Work closely with an Asset Management Analyst to prepare materials and analysis.
  • Liaise between on-site property teams and corporate teams (e.g., revenue, accounting, investments).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably finance.
  • At least 2 years of relevant finance experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in managing workload and professional development.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work with strong organizational skills.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Comfortable working for long periods in front of a computer.
  • Embodies community values: ownership, continuous improvement, and respect for others.
  • Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel (with experience in managing large Excel databases and strong knowledge of financial statements).
  • English Level: C1.

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
