Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team at GCDI Your attention to detail and expertise in crafting reporting specifications will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality results. By developing and maintaining databases and data transfer files, you will enable efficient and streamlined data management processes. As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with study teams and key stakeholders, integrating their requirements to produce accurate and reliable data.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, mathematics, or relevant skills and experience. Effective communication skills, including oral and written communication, are essential for interacting with both technical and business areas in Spanish and English. Solid knowledge of MS Windows/Office software and exposure to web-based applications are also required. Two years of experience in database structures and available tools to manage, extract, report, and warehouse data (SQL-PL/SQL scripting) are necessary. Preferable database development or data programming experience is a plus.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create and develop databases and data transfer files according to written specifications;
- Lead and participate in the review of electronic forms and scripts to aid in the transfer of electronic data files;
- Create and review reporting specifications to ensure high-quality deliverables;
- Develop required training and provide ongoing training and development to Developers;
- Interface with members of study teams and key stakeholders to integrate requirements into all deliverables;
- Ensure adherence to database standards, SOPs, and Process Guidelines;
- Contribute as a subject matter expert and help develop a customer-oriented and can-do attitude on the team.
