Position Overview: The Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, urgent repairs, preventive maintenance, and upgrades of Alcon surgical equipment. This role is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction within the designated territory by delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct new equipment installations in collaboration with clients and the sales team.
- Execute repairs and planned maintenance while ensuring timely documentation with meticulous attention to detail and appropriate client consultation.
- Support sales and marketing teams as needed.
- Proactively promote and sell Alcon Service Agreements.
- Comply with all quality standards and ISO regulations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Possession of a Certificate 3 in an electronics-related discipline; Biomedical Engineering qualifications are preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of field experience in a customer-facing service role within the medical technology sector.
- Experience with ophthalmic equipment is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in PC applications.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
- Valid driver's license is essential.
- Familiarity with electronic testing instruments (multimeters, oscilloscopes, laser/energy meters, pressure, and vacuum meters).
- High commitment to detail and precision.
- Excellent customer management skills.
Additional Requirements:
- This position necessitates regular travel, including local, interstate, and international journeys.
- Physical activity is a component of this role, including lifting, bending, crouching, and manual handling.
