Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Architect with 13+ years of experience in data engineering. This role involves designing and building modern data warehousing platforms using Big Data and Cloud technologies. You will manage, utilize, move, and transform data from source systems to the cloud to create reports for senior management and internal users.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with architects, business users, and source team members to discover data sources and tech feasibility for fetching data into the consolidated data environment/platform.
  2. Design and build core components for our Data Platform, create ETL pipelines among various tools, and surface data for consumption by our Reporting tool.
  3. Prioritize competing requests from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the reporting infrastructure keeps pace with new product functionality and release cycles.
  4. Become a Subject Matter Expert in data classification within the platform and utilize your expertise to identify efficient data delivery paths from source to target.
  5. Design and write excellent, fully tested code to build ETL/ELT data pipelines on Cloud platforms.
  6. Take ownership of design & development processes, ensuring incorporation of best practices, code sanity, and versioning into different environments through tools like git.
  7. Implement product features and refine specifications with our product manager and product owners.
  8. Continuously improve team processes to ensure high-quality information and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team.
  9. Stay familiar with industry changes in Cloud Data and Analytics technologies.
Qualifications

13+ years of development experience in data engineering, including architecture of modern data warehousing platforms using Big Data and Cloud technologies.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Big Data technologies, including Kafka.

Cloud experience in any cloud, preferably BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, or Data Fusion.

Migration experience using GCP to move data from on-prem servers to the cloud.

Strong Python development skills for data transfers and extractions (ELT or ETL).

Experience developing and deploying ETL solutions with Informatica or similar tools.

Experience working within an agile development process (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).

Familiarity with CI/CD concepts.

Demonstrated proficiency in creating technical documentation.

Modern concepts, including how new-generation databases are implemented.

Experience with Airflow, DAG development, and Informatica or ETL tools.

Ability and experience in BI and Data Analysis, end-to-end development in data platform environments.

Estimated Salary: $311,850 - $400,000 per year.
