Associate Officer

The Alliance Bioversity & CIAT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Officer to join our Science Engagement team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of research proposals, ensuring their success, and driving the organization's mission forward.

• Proposal Development: Coordinate the development of research proposals, working closely with researchers, scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality submissions.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to researchers, including coordinating timelines, ensuring compliance with proposal procedures, and managing contributions from various support units.
• Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration between researchers, scientists, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the proposal development process.
• Analysis and Reporting: Conduct analysis and provide strategic input to enhance proposal success rates, and contribute to post-proposal evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Science Engagement team, other departments, and external partners to ensure seamless proposal development and submission.

• Master's Degree: A Master's degree in agricultural, environmental, or biological sciences, international development, business administration, science communications, or related fields.
• Advanced English Skills: Proven high-level verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supporting resource mobilization and research proposal development, particularly in agriculture, environment, rural development, or natural/social sciences.
• Skills: Proven experience in managing large, complex, technical proposals, preparing analyses, guidance notes, or educational materials, and working effectively in multi-cultural and interdisciplinary environments.
