About the RoleWe're seeking a seasoned Ruby on Rails Technical Lead to join our client's dynamic team. As a technical lead, you'll be responsible for architecting, building, reviewing code, and planning while collaborating closely with a distributed team of engineers across Germany, India, and Ukraine.
This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in Ruby on Rails, and an understanding of front-end technologies like Angular and React Native. You'll need to collaborate with front-end engineers, review and ensure high-quality code, plan and manage sprints, and communicate effectively with management.
Responsibilities:- Lead a team of 3 engineers across different time zones (Germany, India, Ukraine)
- Architect, design, and implement scalable solutions using Ruby on Rails
- Collaborate with front-end engineers working with Angular and React Native
- Review and ensure high-quality code by providing feedback and guidance to the team
- Plan and manage sprints, tasks, and deliverables to meet project deadlines
- Communicate effectively with the Head of Engineering and provide technical insights
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails (RoR) with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Experience working with front-end technologies such as Angular and React Native
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote, cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to architect and design backend systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across different time zones
- Availability to overlap with CST working hours for effective collaboration with the team in Dallas
- Ruby on Rails Tech Assessment with Adaface
- Meeting with Workana's team
- One round of interviews with Head of Engineering for management skills evaluation and the engineering team for technical evaluation
Salary: $40-$45 USD/hour. Location: Remote (Preferable CST Overlap). This is a full-time position with mid-senior level seniority. Job function is IT Services and IT Consulting. Job ID: J-18808-Ljbffr
