About the Role

You will play a crucial role in shaping the core architecture of our Fintech Platform, working within one of our three squads — Payments, Disbursements, or GRC — to build, optimize, and scale backend microservices that drive our financial operations. This opportunity requires a talented engineer passionate about secure, high-performance financial systems and experience in building solutions that handle complex payment, compliance, and disbursement workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture & Development: Design and implement scalable backend microservices inside the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC squad.
• Payments Squad: Develop and optimize systems for securely collecting funds from users and ensuring efficient transaction processing.
• Disbursements Squad: Design and implement robust services that handle the secure and timely disbursement of funds to beneficiaries.
• GRC Squad: Build and enhance systems for user onboarding, KYC, and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
• Infrastructure & Scalability: Design and manage infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests while maintaining the highest standards of security and performance.
• Cloud Integration: Utilize Google Cloud services and industry-standard tools to build and maintain distributed systems.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, operations, compliance, and other business units to deliver holistic financial solutions.
• Mentorship & Growth: Mentor junior developers and promote best practices across the engineering team.
• Continuous Improvement: Leverage user feedback and system analytics to refine and iterate on platform capabilities.
