Senior Web Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Developer to join our team at elev8, a leading provider of 360-degree solutions for the behavioral health industry.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in WordPress plugin development, template and theme creation, and web application development.
Key Responsibilities- Plugin Development: Develop custom plugins on demand to extend WordPress functionalities, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Plugin Maintenance: Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing plugins to ensure compatibility and performance, minimizing downtime and ensuring a smooth user experience.
- Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand plugin requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs and expectations.
- Theme Development: Design and develop WordPress themes from scratch, ensuring responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility, and customizing existing themes based on client requirements and best practices.
- Template Creation: Create reusable templates and ensure they adhere to web standards and accessibility guidelines, ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience.
- Web Application Development: Develop and deploy scalable web applications as per client needs, integrating third-party APIs and services into web applications, and ensuring web applications are secure, robust, and optimized for performance.
- Performance Optimization: Conduct regular performance audits of websites and implement optimization strategies (e.g., caching, compression, minification), ensuring optimal site performance and user experience.
- Code Quality: Ensure proper code structure, organization, and documentation, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers on best practices, coding standards, and technology trends.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with designers and content creators to develop cohesive web experiences, and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in web development, with a strong focus on WordPress.
- Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and PHP, extensive experience with WordPress plugin and theme development, and knowledge of web application frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, and strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
