Compliance Risk Expert with Global Privacy Focus

Citi is seeking a seasoned Compliance Risk Expert to join its Global Privacy and Responsible Information compliance team covering the LATAM Cluster, for Citi businesses, partnering across ICRM.

This senior role will be responsible for establishing internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation and maintain risk levels within the firm's risk appetite.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks, and typologies, with strong analytical and communication skills.

In addition to a Bachelor's degree, the candidate should have experience in compliance, legal, or other control-related functions in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof.

The role will require the candidate to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units, navigate a complex organization, influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level, and experience in managing regulatory exams and relationships with examiners, auditors etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining best-in-class Compliance programs, policies, and practices for ICRM.
  2. Translating ICRM strategy and goals across Citi's clients, products, and geographies in a succinct and clear manner; providing direction and guidance on the programs.
  3. Serving as a subject matter expert on Citi's Compliance programs.
  4. Providing oversight and guidance over the assessment of complex issues, structuring potential solutions, and driving effective resolution with other stakeholders.
  5. Identifying and assessing Citi's key compliance risks.
  6. Ensuring compliance risks within Citi are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled, consistent with the bank's risk appetite statement and all policies and processes established within the risk governance framework.
  7. Monitoring adherence to Citi's Compliance Risk Policies and measuring compliance risk through a robust control framework.
  8. Performing complex analyses of comparative data, preparing and presenting regional and global reports related to compliance risk assessments, and monitoring of compliance-related issues.
  9. Partnering, collaborating, and working with other areas within Citi, as necessary.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
