Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team at CI&T Software S.A. and work on a cutting-edge project in the energy storage sector.

About the Role:

1. We need someone with a strong background in software development, particularly with Python, who can conduct thorough testing of software and hardware components to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
2. The ideal candidate will have experience working with performance testing tools, closed-loop control algorithms, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
3. We require a professional with excellent analytical skills, able to assess algorithms used in projects to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency from both business and technical perspectives.
4. A successful candidate will be a leader who can provide team guidance and influence application vision.
5. The role demands independence with minimal day-to-day guidance, achieving targets and goals while working closely with the team.

Requirements:

1. Strong development experience with Python
2. Experience using performance testing tools
3. B.S. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field
4. Experience testing closed-loop control algorithms
5. Experience testing software using Agile/Scrum methodologies
6. Experience using a Test Case Management System such as Testrail
7. Experience capturing day-to-day activities in JIRA
8. Experience evaluating and implementing new technology to address challenging customer problems
9. Experience in forming design and analysis of systems or new requirements
10. Experience in developing test plans/procedures to assess adherence to requirements
11. Github experience
12. CI/CD experience
13. Advanced English level (written, reading, and conversational)

Nice to Have:

1. Experience in programming languages such as C/C++
2. Familiarity with power generation and/or grid level control systems
3. Experience with Power System Market Applications
4. Experience with Industrial Protocols: Modbus TCP, DNP3, IEC 61850
5. Experience in modern web client technologies such as HTML5
6. Experience with AWS, Openstack, Docker
7. Experience with continuous integration, build management, and automated test frameworks
8. Experience testing diverse COTS or Open Source Software
9. Experience assessing existing products

What We Offer:

This is a competitive position offering a salary range of R$ 20,000 to R$ 30,000 per month, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and opportunities for growth and professional development.
