UniFirst Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to oversee the entire scope of Human Resources for our Nearshoring Program. This role will perform duties at the professional and administrative level in various functional areas, including Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Training, Communications, Compensation, Compliance, Safety, and Administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process, including candidate management within Applicant Tracking Systems, to ensure accurate candidate information and hiring status documentation.
  • Promote practices that drive alignment and consistency in the culture and employee experience within the organization.
  • Serve as a liaison between assigned UniFirst and Serviap, our Nearshoring Employer of Record.
  • Coordinate benefits administration and wellness programs.
  • Manage and facilitate new hire onboarding activities, including all pre-hire activities such as background checks and welcome communications, welcome orientation, and engagement throughout the first 90 days.
  • Partner with team managers to create employee engagement initiatives.
  • Promote and provide guidance on company policies and procedures, escalating to the employee relations team as necessary.
  • In conjunction with Serviap, assist with workplace investigations and provide guidance on disciplinary actions at the location and other locations as assigned.
  • Partner with team managers and HR shared services on employee development and job training.
  • Work with HRBPs to support team managers in interpreting and reviewing annual and ad hoc compensation market guides and help develop action plans accordingly.
  • Point of contact for all work-related injuries and partner with the risk and HR groups for ongoing claim and leave of absence administration.
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper format.
  • Maintain legal compliance for the location.
  • Perform exit interviews and maintain data for quarterly reporting.
  • Perform quarterly employee pulse checks.
  • Support other business units and projects as needed.
  • Support the billing process with Serviap.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual, English C1 required.
  • 5-7+ years of increasingly responsible experience as an HR professional.
  • Experience working in a nearshoring program for a multinational organization preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Labor Law and regulations and ability to understand company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Must possess a 'Can-Do' attitude and be a self-starter on daily projects.
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and PeopleSoft a plus.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
