Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled and meticulous Electrical Estimator to enhance our workforce.

The selected candidate will take charge of precisely estimating costs associated with electrical projects, crafting detailed proposals, and ensuring that all undertakings are executed within budget while adhering to the highest quality standards.

This position demands a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, project oversight, and cost estimation methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Generate precise cost estimates for commercial electrical projects by reviewing blueprints, technical specifications, and project needs.
  • Proposal Creation: Develop thorough and detailed proposals that encompass cost breakdowns, timelines, and the scope of work.
  • Bid Evaluation: Assess quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to guarantee competitiveness and precision.
  • Client Engagement: Interact with clients to collect project specifics, discuss modifications, and resolve any inquiries or issues.
  • Project Collaboration: Work alongside project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates are in sync with project plans and timelines.
  • Industry Analysis: Remain informed about market trends, material costs, and labor rates to deliver accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive documentation of estimates, modifications, and project expenses for future reference and analysis.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and offer strategies for cost mitigation and project risk management.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all estimates are prepared to the highest standards and comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience as an electrical estimator within the commercial sector.
  • Education: A degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with estimating software and tools (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, Excel). A solid understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations is essential.
  • Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English, capable of effectively engaging with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Project Management Skills: Competence in managing multiple estimates and projects concurrently, with an emphasis on deadlines and accuracy.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) are advantageous.
