Job Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Migration Specialist, specializing in Azure App Migration, based in Colombia, to collaborate with a major North American client in the food industry on a transformative project. Key Responsibilities: Migration Expertise: Spearhead the migration effort from on-premises to Azure, understanding both environments' intricacies, identifying challenges, and designing a robust migration strategy. Infrastructure Management: Oversee the configuration, deployment, and management of the AKS environment, ensuring scalability, availability, and performance meet or exceed the current setup. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and operations, to ensure a smooth transition and address technical issues during the migration process. Automation: Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IAC), and other automation processes to streamline the migration and ongoing management of the AKS environment. Security and Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on security best practices, ensuring the AKS environment is properly configured and all necessary compliance standards are met. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring tools, alerts, and proactive troubleshooting mechanisms to quickly identify and address any performance or reliability issues within the AKS environment. Documentation: Document the migration process, configuration, and best practices for the AKS environment, providing valuable resources for the team and future reference.

Requirements
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a proven track record of successfully migrating complex infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise in AKS environments, including containerization, orchestration, Kubernetes, and cloud services (particularly Azure).
  • Advanced English: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for collaboration with global teams and documentation of the migration process.
  • Automation Tools: Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Security: Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, including network configuration, access controls, and encryption.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor junior members of the team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
