Job Title: GCP Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished technologist to join our Google Cloud team as a Lead Infrastructure Consultant. This is a market-first opportunity to serve as a multi-cloud subject matter expert, providing technical guidance on solutions design, governance, security, operations, and cost control best practices.

As a key member of our Infrastructure and Delivery Unit, you will work with customers to design and build cloud-based infrastructures and landing zones. You will assist with the creation of infrastructure architectures and technical documentation, design and implement secure cloud foundational implementations, and automate provisioning of infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build cloud-based infrastructures and landing zones.
  • Assist with the creation of infrastructure architectures and technical documentation.
  • Design and implement secure cloud foundational implementations.
  • Automate provisioning of infrastructure and applications.
  • Deliver end-to-end cloud-based infrastructure management solutions.
  • Present Infrastructure modernization strategy to C-level executives.
  • Improvements to monitoring, logging, and observability in Client environments.
  • Defining and implementing cloud infrastructure governance and building deployment standards.
  • Working cross-functionally with our delivery management team.
Qualifications
  • Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development.
  • Experience with virtualization: servers, storage, networks.
  • Google Cloud Platform certification, along with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience using its suite of tools, is required.
  • Experience with infrastructure-based processes such as: monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery.
  • Experience with Google's Cloud Foundation Toolkit and Landing Zone implementations.
  • Experience with data centre exit strategies.
