Role Overview:

The Senior Finance Operations Manager is a strategic leadership role that oversees the month-end close process, accounting workflows, and team coordination across multiple clients. This position demands finance expertise combined with operational oversight, ensuring efficient financial operations and process optimization while managing and mentoring the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Manage the accounting close process across all clients, ensuring deadlines are met
  • • Supervise and train accounting staff, monitoring progress and addressing challenges
  • • Act as the key liaison between the accounting team and business owner, providing status updates and insights
  • • Troubleshoot and resolve high-complexity accounting issues, such as payroll journal entries and system integrations
  • • Optimize workflows using QuickBooks Online, Xero, and other tools
  • • Provide clear financial reporting to clients in a timely and structured manner

Requirements:

This role requires 5-10+ years of accounting experience, with a strong background in financial operations and close process management. Expertise in QuickBooks Online and Xero is essential, along with experience with Keeper or similar bookkeeping/task management platforms. Familiarity with Notion and Bill.com is also required. Strong leadership and communication skills to oversee teams and liaise with stakeholders are necessary. Ability to analyze and solve complex accounting issues independently is a must.
