Strategic Investment Director for Latin American Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Investment Director to lead our infrastructure investment initiatives in Latin America.

Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Strategic Investment Director, where you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic investment initiatives in the infrastructure sector across Latin America. Your primary focus will be on identifying and pursuing high-impact investment opportunities that align with IFC's strategy and goals.
Main Responsibilities- Business Development: Lead marketing activities, develop new client contacts, and project leads; prepare and negotiate client proposals, and oversee internal approval processes.
- Transaction Execution: Oversee multiple mandates simultaneously, ensuring quality execution and good client service; lead technical, legal, regulatory, financial, and commercial assessments of advisory transactions.
- Team Management: Manage less experienced staff, ensuring their development and growth; coordinate closely with social, environmental, and investment colleagues to add value to clients' projects.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in business, finance, or economics.
- No less than 12 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, and/or infrastructure economics.
- Strong business development capacities and proven ability to identify new business opportunities and sign new mandates.
- Deep understanding of the infrastructure business and experience working with different sub-sectors in Latin American countries.
- Track record of contractual and/or financial closings of infrastructure transactions in Latin American countries.
- Experience dealing with government clients, investors, and multiple stakeholders of infrastructure projects.
