Job Summary
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test plans for our products, ensuring the highest quality and reliability. This role will work closely with product owners and engineering teams to define requirements, develop test cases, and implement automation and regression testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
- Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to define requirements, develop test cases, and implement automation and regression testing.
- Design and maintain test environments, staging platforms, and labs to support testing activities.
- Work with the engineering and IT team to design and operate test environments, staging platforms, labs, configurations, etc.
- Recommend process improvements and tools to develop a highly-efficient, continuous integration development environment.
- Perform root cause analysis and sound independent decision making to resolve testing issues.
- Develop and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Perform all testing activities across one or more assigned projects, utilizing processes, methods, metrics, and software that ensure the quality, reliability, and systems safety and security.
- Work closely with the support and client success teams to diagnose customer issues, reproduce in the test environments, and verify fixes provided by development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with industry-standard software testing tools for automation and test management, such as Zephyr, Selenium, and familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and sound independent decision making.
- Solid understanding of QA testing methodologies and practices with a proven ability to efficiently write effective test cases that provide in-depth coverage of functionality.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment with positive results.
- Experience leading small to medium-size teams and mentoring junior team members to achieve personal and organizational goals.
- Experience with source control and/or config management tools such as GIT, SVN, Bitbucket, etc.
- Background as a software developer and/or coder is a big plus.
- Strong communication skills, a passionate commitment to quality, and a collaborative, team-oriented working style.
- Experience with relational and non-relational database testing is a bonus.
- API testing experience using Postman and Fiddler is ideal.
