We're looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team at Intellectsoft, a digital transformation consultancy group and engineering company. Our team delivers cutting-edge solutions for global organisations and technology startups.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing Linux environment designs, including administration, security enhancements, OS upgrades, and issue resolution. You'll also automate and implement build, deployment, validation, and configuration procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing Linux environment designs, including administration, security enhancements, OS upgrades, and issue resolution.
  2. Automating and implementing build, deployment, validation, and configuration procedures.
  3. Partnering with the operations team to architect IT infrastructure.
  4. Overseeing releases and maintaining various environments.
  5. Establishing network security and disaster recovery protocols.
  6. Deploying and managing development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.
  7. Communicating effectively with stakeholders and external interfaces.
  8. Configuring necessary tools and infrastructure.
  9. Designing, setting up, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  10. Utilizing troubleshooting techniques for IaC and CI/CD operations.
  11. Driving automation initiatives.
  12. Managing incident responses and conducting root cause analyses.
  13. Facilitating coordination and communication within the team and with stakeholders.
  14. Driving continuous improvement through CI/CD pipeline development.
  15. Maintaining ticketing systems and timely updates.

Requirements include:

  1. Proficiency in AWS CI/CD, Code Pipeline, and general support.
  2. Strong programming skills in Python.
  3. Proficient in administering and troubleshooting Linux OS, with bash scripting capabilities.
  4. Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo).
  5. Experience with various build, automation, IaC, and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Terraform).
  6. Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  7. Strong understanding of messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, AWS SNS, AWS SQS).
  8. Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Aurora, MongoDB).
  9. Understanding of networking, DNS, Route 53, and AWS IAM policy management.
  10. Experience managing storage concepts (e.g., S3, EBS).
  11. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog).
  12. Proficient in troubleshooting complex issues.
  13. Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management and cost optimization.
  14. Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  15. Minimum of 3 years of AWS deployment experience and DevOps experience.
  16. Background in genetics or genetic testing is highly advantageous.

Preferred qualifications include AWS Certifications.
