Job DescriptionThe Senior Backend Engineer (Kotlin) will work with an agile team to build, maintain, and optimize our client's applications. Key responsibilities include:
- Mentoring fellow developers
- Working with DevOps and QA to build a quality-focused CI/CD pipeline
- Responsible for code reviews, testing, and delivery of high-quality maintainable code
- Work in an Agile environment to define, estimate, and work user stories
Prior experience working with remote data via REST and JSON, as well as modern enterprise patterns like microservices, is required. Experience with SQL databases and demonstrated success building and maintaining a production application are also essential.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Kotlin
- 3+ years of backend Java development experience
- 3+ years of experience using a modern Java framework like Spring or Micronaut
A salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year is expected, based on location and experience. Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
