Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Global Business Services (GBS) unit, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of key responsibilities in accordance with the company's Accounting Manual. You will lead a team in processing daily operations and month-end closing activities, ensuring high-quality records and resolving open items. Your expertise in General Ledger, R2R, and Financial Reporting will enable you to review work prepared by other team members, identify errors, and provide insights. You will also work closely with other GBS teams to ensure activities are correct and assist in resolving queries and issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team responsible for processing daily operations & month-end closing activities.
  • Ensure accuracy and correctness of activities performed in your team.
  • Review account reconciliations for full compliance with pre-defined requirements.
  • Produce routine analyses, schedules, and summaries for internal & external activities.
  • Prepare audit deliverables as required.
  • Closely collaborate with local Finance Teams across Adidas subsidiaries.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and takes into account the level of responsibility, skills required, and the cost of living in different regions. Note that this is an estimate and may vary based on individual circumstances.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you'll need:
  • Excellent accounting knowledge (IFRS).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English in a business setting (B2+).
  • Continuous improvement mindset, process orientation, and solution-oriented work approach.
  • Problem-solving mindset and analytical skills.
  • SAP and Power BI experience is an advantage.
  • Experience in a Shared Service environment is an advantage.

KPIs and Metrics: Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) such as accuracy rates, timeliness, and team productivity. You will also be evaluated on your problem-solving skills, collaboration with other teams, and contributions to process improvements.

Requisite Education and Experience: A university degree in accounting/finance/control or similar is required. 6+ years of relevant work experience in accounting/business areas, with proven people management skills, is preferred.
