We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our financial operations at BruntWork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and leading the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the full cycle of accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, and payroll.
  • Clean, organize, and maintain the company's financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring they reflect the company's financial position accurately.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records regularly.
  • Develop and implement efficient accounting procedures and controls.
  • Ensure timely processing and payment of invoices while maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Manage customer invoicing and collections to optimize cash flow.
  • Work closely with external auditors or consultants as needed for tax preparation and financial reviews.
  • Provide financial reporting to management, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.

This role requires a hands-on professional capable of cleaning up and maintaining the company's books, implementing efficient processes, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including AP/AR management.
  • Expertise in cleaning and organizing financial records and books.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000-$100,000 per year, depending on experience.

This is a remote position with benefits, including HMO coverage, permanent work-from-home arrangement, immediate hiring, and steady freelance job opportunities.
